Debra Carlton, MD

Debra’s commitment to empowering individuals to prevent and manage chronic illnesses began during her teenage years, after losing two beloved uncles to chronic diseases. Determined to make a difference, Debra embarked on a journey to become an internal medicine physician to help people extend their health span. The journey has been transformative, personally and professionally, with Debra gaining invaluable insights into the crucial role our everyday behaviors play in our health.

True transformation began with her participation in a 21-day plant-based challenge, where she witnessed remarkable changes in herself and fellow participants. This led to learning, adopting, and teaching the positive behaviors that are essential to optimal health.

At the core of these behaviors lies the importance of embracing whole-food plant-based nutrition, engaging in regular physical activity, effectively managing stress, prioritizing restorative sleep, maintaining positive social connections, and avoiding risky substances. Debra believes these healthy behaviors are not only foundational to the health of individuals, but also to the well-being of families and communities.
